Morris Foundation Supports Cornell Students to College Conference on Cooperatives (CCOC)

Cornell Students with Dr. Todd Schmidt

Todd Schmidt, Professor, Cornell University, brought several students to Minneapolis for the National Farmers Union’s CCOC in February, 2018, with financial support from the Ralph K. Morris Foundation.  The conference takes place over three days and includes educational sessions, networking and visits to local cooperatives.

Morris Foundation Chair William Nelson spoke at the conference on the topic, “What, in the World, are You/We Going to Do?”  The annual conference features presentations by cooperative leaders from all across the spectrum, and it is beneficial to both beginning students and to those with some previous co-op education.   “The Morris Foundation is unique in that it provides support directly to individuals that don’t have the financial resources to attend cooperative educational programs like the College Conference on Cooperatives,” said Chair Nelson.

Sponsors for the program included CHS Foundation, Farmers Union Industries LLC, CoBank and National Farmers Union Foundation.
